Once upon a time the
ball gown was reserved for fairy tale princesses and freshmen pageants. While, if you are looking for a
pageant dress as a Freshman, we strongly recommend a more traditional ball gown, and if you want a classic Cinderella prom experience there are still plenty of gorgeous styles to choose from, the ball gown has truly come into its own for prom 2013. Like the short prom dress, the ball gown had it's moment in the past it had fallen out of favor until a few years ago. Designers have once again embrace the romantic ball gown, the flirty ball gown, and even the sexy ball gown!
Prom 2013 has seen
prom designers really push the envelope of style when it comes to the ball gown. The runways featured ball gowns with tulle, chiffon, sequins, stones, crystals, feathers, and pearls. We saw cap sleeves, short sleeves, long sleeves, strapless, halter, and one shoulder prom dresses. There were ball gowns with sheer inserts, embroidery, neons, pastels, even cut outs! On BALL GOWNS!
